With Peter Kolesar, Warren Walker won the Lanchester Prize for their work at the New York City - RAND Institute, where he is seen in this 1975 image. Walker and others at RAND, together with Dutch officials, were finalists for the 1984 Franz Edelman Award 1984 for work on cost-effective water management policies in the Netherlands, where he moved in 1992 to help establish RAND Europe.
