The conference, organised by the Society for the Foundations of Computational
Mathematics, is fifth in a sequence that commenced with the Park City, Rio de
Janeiro, Oxford, and Minneapolis FoCM meetings. The format of the Santander
conference will be similar: plenary invited lectures in the mornings and
theme-centred parallel workshops in the afternoons.
For the first time, the conference will also include a Poster Session, aimed
at promoting the work of young researchers.
The names of the 18 plenary speakers, and the names of organisers and titles
of the 21 parallel three-day workshops are posted on the conference webpages.
The Society for the Foundations of Computational Mathematics is a nonprofit
organisation that supports and promotes research on foundational aspects
of computational mathematics. It fosters interactions between mathematics,
computer science, and other areas of computational science through its
conferences, workshops and publications.
