Risk-based decision making is fast becoming a de facto standard for many homeland security decisions. The process of determining risks, however, is challenged by the complexity of the system and the uncertainties in determining the threats, vulnerabilities and consequences.
To address this challenge we intend to bring together a wide audience of theoreticians, modelers, data analysts, domain experts, and decision makers to share their knowledge and ideas on contemporary and novel aspects of risk based decision making.
The symposium offers you the opportunity to share your ideas and acquire an understanding of the current state-of-the-art in homeland security risk analysis. If you would like to present at this symposium, please submit a 300-word abstract as soon as possible so we might assign it to an appropriate session. Please see the list below for some of the topics that will be addressed at this symposium. If you are attending this symposium, please register early so we can ensure your admission.
