Deadline of abstract submission: March 16, 2006
We seek abstract submission of research papers on the subject of optimizing the integration of multiple types of information to better understand and quantify uncertainties in hydrological systems. Papers containing innovative theoretical, computational, and experimental studies are welcome.
In particular, we solicit papers on the following topics:
1) Integrate extensive, spatially-distributed, non-invasive, smart sensor networks to gather massive geologic, hydrologic, and geophysical data;
2) Develop information fusion methods based on dynamic tomographic surveys;
3) Develop dynamic data driven information fusion systems for rapidly monitoring, characterizing, and forecasting the states of watersheds/basins at high resolution;
4) Develop asynchronous, parallel/distributed, adaptive algorithms for rapidly simulating and forecasting the states of hydrologic systems at high resolution.
