This two hour virtual online meeting celebrated the contributions to mathematics, operations research, and optimization of Alan J. Hoffman, our friend and colleague who passed away in January at the age of 96. Speakers included colleagues, former students, and collaborators of Alan who described various aspects of Alan’s mathematical work and life. For the last part of the event, the “microphone” was opened to other participants who shared their reminiscences about his remarkable career.
