A: Auto Renew allows members to pay their dues directly from their credit/debit card account. The Auto Renew payment process automatically renews each year, ensuring you never miss out on any of the benefits of being an INFORMS member.
Q: Who can sign up for Auto Renew?
A: Most INFORMS members can enroll in the Auto Renew program for easy and secure payment of membership dues. However, Auto Renew is not available to student members after graduation, because they require manual renewal due to a member category upgrade. Graduating student members get 50% savings when transitioning to regular membership.
Q: What are the benefits of Auto Renew?
A: Your membership stays up to date with no need for manual online renewals or payments to mail.
Q: How do I sign up for Auto Renew?
A: To opt in to Auto Renew, simply click “Auto Renew” when you are renewing or joining online. If it is not yet time to renew, no problem! Members can opt in to Auto Renew at any time during their membership term by visiting their Member Profile.
INFORMS will automatically charge your annual membership fee to your credit/debit card on the day of your membership expiration date each year until you cancel. You can cancel Auto Renew at any time via My Account, by phone at 443-757-3500, or by email at [email protected]. Any changes to your Auto Renew settings must be made at least one business day before your renewal date.
Q: How will I know when a payment is made or how much was paid? Will I get an invoice?
A: Instead of annual mail and email renewal notices, INFORMS will send you reminder notices at least 30 days and 3days before your annual membership is charged to your credit/debit card.
The reminder notice will provide details about your upcoming auto renewal and how to contact INFORMS with any updates to the membership options, payment method, card number, expiration date, and details on how to contact INFORMS to discontinue the automatic charges to your credit/debit card. If you do not notify INFORMS, your membership will automatically renew, and your credit/debit card will be charged. Your membership will continue from year to year unless canceled by either party.
Your membership will be renewed annually at the current rates in effect at renewal. INFORMS will charge your card annually on the date that your membership is due to expire. Once the payment has been processed, we will email you a receipt for your records.
INFORMS will notify you if your credit/debit card has or will expire before your auto renewal date or if any difficulties are experienced during processing. If we are unable to complete your renewal or if your card is declined, you will be notified, and a standard dues invoice will be mailed to you.
Q: Must I and/or How do I change or update my Auto Renew contact or payment information?
A: You must notify INFORMS of any changes to your email or payment information (credit card, account number, expiration date, etc.). Reminder notices will be sent to the last email address that you provided. Q: What if I don’t have enough money in my account when Auto Renew is posted?
A: You are obligated to have enough money on your available credit or in your account to make Auto Renew payments, just as you must have available credit or funds in an account to cover a purchase or a check. If you do not have enough open credit or money in your account, your financial institution can deny the transaction and/or charge returned or over-the-limit credit fees.

All Auto Renew enrollment changes must be made at least one business day before your scheduled membership dues charge/anniversary. Requests made in less than one business day prior to your scheduled membership dues charge may not be honored for that renewal period but will be honored for all future renewals.

- Click the “Create a new saved payment method” link to update or add a new credit or debit card.
